New member Looking to be a new Banshee owner

Hey guys a new member here and im scouting and trying to learn about banshees as im in the market for looking for one. Ive lived about 20 minutes from waynoka oklahoma my whole life which i can tell you guys are a pretty big fan of the little sahara and ive never had a bike of my own. After goin out this weekend and watching the drags im decided on a banshee and was wondering if anyone could kinda steer me in the right direction of getting into this sport

Welcome to BansheeHQ and the world of Banshees. You are in for a whole new game as far as ATVs are concerned. What kind of budget do you have in mind when buying a bike? That will help us get an idea of what to look for. There are tons of bikes out there ready to be bought and ridden. Buying used is your best bet as long as you know what you're looking at.

well im a full time college student so the budget isnt too big lol, but i would like to spend around 1-2 grand for a bike to start running or not. i'm pretty mechanical not alot of experience with quads but with good instruction i could definetely figure it out. I would like something i could slowly work on and make better. heres a few i've found so far

lol yes i had the same question of what a little work means.... he wadded it up last weekend and is completely totalled or the seat has a rip in it? haha

on the first one how much would i be looking at spending for clutch, pistons, crank and cylenders or basically a motor rebuild?

Of those three, the second one looks the best to me. That's not a bad price and I'm guessing for $2,000 cash you could drive it away. I'd stay away from bikes in pieces since you're new to the game and aren't 100% sure on what you're looking at. The last one doesn't look as nice as the second one.

i have a few for sale i can get a basic bike running for you for around 2500 the motor will be relatively fresh. ( maybe used crank) OR i can custom build one of the motors for you

 

i have 3 chassis ready for engines. i could even sell you a complete bike in a box BUT as stated if your new to it all i'd prefer to get you ready to go and set up off the batt.. the bike will be actually ride ready all brakes will work frame will be straight and all electrical will work and no BIG issues, it will be tuned right and run good. no bolts will be siezed and no weird crap will be cobbled together.. engine will at least have NEW top end and welded crank all new seals and gaskets etc..
