amont21987 Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 I am trying to take my carbs out to clean them but I don't have a clymers manual yet so I need a little help. I have taken my gas tank and plastic and silencers off to make it easier I have two little blocks on top of the carbs that I'm not sure how to get off and I don't want to go turning nuts and bolts and screw my sync up on the carbs so how do I get the throttle cable out of each carb with out messing up the sync Quote
Larry's Shee Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Remove the cap from top of carb, just below tors "box". should be locking tab held by phillips screw. Quote
amont21987 Posted March 18, 2011 Author Report Posted March 18, 2011 I got inpatient and took the side off of the tors box that had the cable that comes out of the top of the carb and goes up when u push the throttle in and took the bolt off that holds the slide or whatever in place then put it back on now it doesn't go up when I push the throttle so I think I disconnected something in the other side of the tors box Quote

This will enable you to properly describe your problem to us in the proper terminology so we can help you quickly and clearly. 1 Quote
amont21987 Posted March 18, 2011 Author Report Posted March 18, 2011 Yeah I know that, I fixed the problem though so its not really that big of a deal. Quote
bigtizzles Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 I just did this for the first time to jet my carbs, so if you still need help let me know. It was not hard at all. I was kinda worried to mess it up, but when I got done, removing the carbs was about a 2 out of 5 on the scale of difficulty if you are mechanically inclined. Just take the top of the carbs off like the lid off a bottle of pop, and the needle and slide will come out of the top and you can just swing it to the side or wrap a bag around it if your worried about dirt getting on it. You can put it together later and they will still be synced (if they were to begin with). There is a video on youtube if you search "Banshee carb syncing" that will show you how to get them damn close if you wanna check it. If you still need help let me know. I'm a noob too Quote

Yes, it is fixed now, but you will have more problems in the future so you should still get a manual and read up as much as you can so you can communicate your future problems efficiently. 1 Quote
