Well turns out i have too bore my jugs. I dont want to make a ton of topics so i will be asking a ton of questions to save some space. I have to go .80 over and im getting a dune port with welds done by m&m atv.

Can I run stock carbs?

Can I run stock heads?

What Jet should I start with when tuning it? (already have a 280 in it for the t5's)

How many more bores can i get out of it? (If any after the port job)

Is there anything im missing that i should be aware of.

The stock parts are temperary until i can afford to replace them piece by piece. This is a new hobbie for me and didnt relize how exspensive it is. lol

Thanks in advance for ant and all advice

All those questions would be best answered by M&M since they are doing the work. I'd say yes to the 1st two questions.

yea you can run stock carbs....but you'll gain more by runnin larger carbs but you can wait to save money to replace them.

yes you can run a stock head BUT you'll have to get one that is shaved (because you'll need to bump the compression back up after they alter the port timings) later you can run a coolhead if you'd like

Andy at M&M will give you a break-in procedure and will suggest a jetting size for you to run

.080 is pretty much the MAX that you can bore out to. You may want to think about possibly buyin some used cylinders like .20 over and getting those bored and ported

your not missing anything unless you want to make more power....... like advance the timing or you can put reeds in it.

AND you should send the crank out and get that trued and welded so that it doesn't come apart after you rebuild it and have it eat itself inside.

and while you got the cases split you might as well do the do it yourself trans mods that are on the forums....

Sucks 80 is as far as it goes. I just got the quad and decided to go through it and found a backwards piston and a broken ring with a gouge in the jug. 80 is where i have to bore to take out the gouge. I forgot to mention i alread got a chariot timing plate!!!

Yep, Andy is an awesome guy.. He would be best to answer your questions for sure.. I had talked to him earlier tonight about some questions I had on the serval cylinders and he had more then answered my questions.

The only thing that would have me concerned, is paying to have those cylinders of yours ported when they are gonna be bored that far over.....
