dicedealer702 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I was just wondering how you are suppose to run the coolent hose with out it melting? I currently have it connected without touching the pipe but I fear once I start her for the first time I might have trouble. Quote
DallasGDub Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 My stock hose never melted. Not sure about a washer hose. Quote
dicedealer702 Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 Well maybe I will bring my stock one as back up. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 After you get silencer mounted maybe space front mount out if possible. Move that vent hose too. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 looks like when you mount up your silencers that its going to pull your pipe up wards more and may clear a little then. when you put that in-line temp guage in did you cut out any of the coolant tube or no? Quote
DallasGDub Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Maybe a small strip of that silver tape they use to keep the plastic from melting. Not sure the name for it. But you could wrap that small part of the hose that is close to the pipe. side note, you can get rid of that breather tube all together. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Banshee-Clutch-Cover-Vent-Block-off-Plate-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19c10b9c21QQitemZ110612945953QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 we get the hoses hot with a heat gun and bend them they way we want to clear the pipe. Then cool it off with compressed air. It usually will maintain the new form after that. That temp gauge you got should be in the line going from the head to the radiator. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 haha.....nice catch snop! i totally didn't even catch that.....snop is right....you want the guage between the head and the radiator....where the coolant comes straight outta the motor THEN to your guage. The way you have it set up its going to be telling you the temperature of the cooled down collant coming OUT of the radiator.....not the important heat number which is how hot the coolant is coming OUT of the engine block.
