I searched this topic but didnt find an asnwer to my liking. What is the best gear ratio for a duner that shoots the hill here and there im running stock sprockets right now. What setting will best increase my midrange ?

I´m a million miles away from Glamis and I have never ride at dunes, but I think the guys who will answer to you need to know is your rear tires 20", 21" or 22".

If you think that you can give away a little from the top end speed to gain more low/mid, you can go 13/41 or 14/43 or something like that.

what type of tires are they? it makes a huge difference. I ran some 20/10/10 itp sand stars and i was getting serious tire spin at 4psi with stock gearing. I run 21 8 paddle haulers at 5psi with stock gearing now and it feels really good I want to try a 13 tooth up front but I run a 4 mill stroker so a smaller sprocket on a stock bike would probably be better.

Sprockets are cheap as hell and easy to change out! get a good selection and try out different ones. I think right now i have 14/44 or 13/44. if you aren't using your 4th and 5th gear on the hill shoots then you need to loose a tooth up front (making it lower geared might make your front end come up easier but give it a try, I like to lean forward and spin hard off the line then move my weight back as I gain momentum to increase traction). your front sprockets make pretty drastic changes, however your back are minor changes. get close with your front then go up or down with the back.
