blacknred03 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Last year I picked up a drz400 supermoto bike and have been riding the $hit out of it. My poor old shee has been in the back of the garage feeling like a redheaded step child. I am on vacation all week and decided to redo the carbs and get her going. So after rebuilding and resyncing the old banshee roared to life for the first time in over a year. Let it warm up, changed the tranny oil and took her out on the street. My god, I guess I got used to the turd drz400. I forgot all about the hit, this thing is out of control. It made the bike feel like a honda 50. Look like I am going to have to trade the DRZ for a RD350 now, great. Quote
blacknred03 Posted December 14, 2010 Author Report Posted December 14, 2010 Here it is all cleaned up, sorry about the watermark. Quote
06specialedition Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Looks like a nice banshee. Glad to hear you decided to bring it back to life Quote
camatv Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 banshees dont die they just hide in the bushes waiting to jump on your shins when your not lookin!!! Quote
BigRed350x Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Poor banshee... you're going to have to donate the banshee to me so it gets ridden more often. =) Quote
VictorK Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Nice the hard hit is what makes the 2 stroke more fun then a four. Also they sound really cool. I always wanted to build a 2 strike street bike but never have the cash. Quote
mofoka Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 you should fit a rz350 motor into the DRZSM. I rode my neighbors DR, 440 bore, yosh system, upgraded cdi and lowered (he is short). It was one of the most exhilarating rides i've had on the street. Might have been because there is no knee out riding with these things. Quote

Yes at first i was knee dragging but I slowly found myself riding more motocross style. It is the ultimate urban assault\commuter bike. Sure the KTMs and Huskys make more power but I do not want to spend every weekend adjusting valves. I have a 78 KZ650 that takes up must of my valve adjusting time. Quote
