You want new juggs though? Why? Hit up a site sponsor or look in the for sale section on here, I'm sure someone has some cylinders they are selling. Edited December 12, 2010 by 06specialedition Quote
steeler2169 Posted December 12, 2010 Author Report Posted December 12, 2010 The ones I've seen have been whole motors. I dont need all that. Quote
crustydemon Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 They are called cylinders or jugs. It would be way cheaper to have yours bored and get new pistons and rings but if you just want to get ready to go parts to bolt on and go you should be able to find something on here or a top end set on ebay. steeler2169 Posted December 12, 2010 Author Report Posted December 12, 2010 Well how much does it normally cost to have it bored and all that done by someone. Quote
shadowbanshee Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 just had mine done by F.A.S.T racing on here and it was right at 320 for everything, bore, hone, chamfer, new pro lite wiseco piston set and gaskets, the whole deal. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 its cheaper and its the same amount of things you have to disassemble from the motor to have them bored (which is the correct way to rebuild a 2-stroke) as it would be to buy new cylinders and pistons. its like $50 per cylinder to get bored and honed then like $200 for pistons.....any site sponsor (motor builder) can do it. crustydemon Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 $60-$80 bore and hone plus the price of your pistons and rings v.s. $300 on up for good cylinders alone. If you want to save some money and be ahead of the game find someone on here that is selling a good used ported set with pistons and get yourself a new set of rings and call it good. Quote
BigRed350x Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Call up kevin at Herr Jugs Racing and he will take care of you. Sounds like you just need a top end rebuild, which would be a bore, hone, new piston kit, and gaskets & o-rings if you have a cool head. Its not a tough job to do at all, and you will be up and running good as new. Kevin can take care of everything you need, does top notch work, and has a much faster turnaround than most other places you will talk to. - Jared Quote
