How's it goin? I'm new to this forum and also new to Banshee's. I just got a new to me 2003 Banshee and need some help getting it to run perfect. I wanted to know if anyone has a PDF Banshee Service manual, one that I could print out to help me out on what I need to do. Ok the first thing with the Banshee is that I want to clean out the carbs, Previous owner said that it boggs out unless its on half-choke and told me that the carbs need to be cleaned out and for it to be given a tune up. Also I have a problem with the choke no staying in place. When I pull it out it slowy moves bac in to the off position by itself. seemd like it must be sticky and that why it goes back in. Last night I took it out to ride it around and it wouldn't start. Turned the key to on, pulled and held in half-choke, turned switch to RUN, and turned gas on. Started kicking and it would start!? Am I doing something wrong? I'm thinking It because I need to clean out the carbs, but I want to make sure. So I ended up push starting it, it started up

and just bogged out because the choke wouldnt stay in the half-choke position. So if anyone can please help out a owner of a Banshee it will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to BHQ!

If the bike is bogging you most likely need to jet it properly. Don't ride it until you do so or you could damage your motor.

Whats your elevation and current mods on the banshee?

Do you know what your current jetting is right now?

I believe its mostly stock with toomey t5 pipes. I don't know of the jetting either. Sorry for the lack of info, I'm new to this and just trying to get the banshee up and running.

Welcome to the BHQ!!

The banshee clymer manual used to be on google books but they removed it, im not sure if they have another pdf file for it or not. The clymer manual is about 20 bucks i suggest you order one online if you can't get one locally.

Well, then start by cleaning carbs one at a time as they're different. Pay close attintion to pilot jet. Record jet sizes and needle clip for reference. Be sure to install choke crossover tube. What do your plugs look like now? Stock air filter?

Hey, Welcome!

Good call on the manual, its the bible, and here of course.

Everything that you want help on with your bike, is going to need correct answers when these guys ask a question. We cant check your elevation cause you didnt make it part of your profile, you need to know what size jets are in your bike now, to know which size to go to next. We need to know whats in your airbox, and if their are holes in it? etc................

There are a few standard questions that need to be asked and answered.

Elevation is 2389 ft. Jetting is at 240-250. K&N air filter in air box and the only hole on the air box is the one small one on the bottom corner about the size of a dime.

Welcome to the site man. You will find anything you would ever want to know about Banshees on here. Right when you think you would be the first one to do something, you're not. Somebody has already done it. When I bought my shee, the guy gave me a clymer manual with it. You can't go wrong buying one of those.
