ionroller Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 stock banshee's come with a 200 main jet, so if you are at a 270 that is crazy rich with stock pipes. Quote
crustydemon Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 X2 You will be rich all winter, no matter how cold it gets. Quote
rinaldobailey Posted January 2, 2011 Author Report Posted January 2, 2011 X2 You will be rich all winter, no matter how cold it gets. I bought this aftermarket jet kit, the instructions say "for stock banshee stock pipes use 270 main aftermarket pipes use 280 it gives me 2x 270 2x 280 2x 290 2x 300 2x340 and after market neddles its a factory pro jet kit. it runs pritty good i got a 280 in it now im gonna try a 290 what do you think? in the summer its 70F-*86F now its 25F and dropping Quote
rinaldobailey Posted January 2, 2011 Author Report Posted January 2, 2011 the kit i bought is has the same jets a dyno jet kit has... should i go and buy a set of stock jets like 200,220,240 stock neddles? my buddy used to have 2 banshees he used 200 summer 240 winter , i told him what i bought he said i should run 270 summer 290 winter with that kit tell me what u think Quote
sleeper06 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 200 summer/220-240 winter,270 is rich.270 is with pipes air filter, Quote
lincster Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 270-280 is not too rich at all with stock pipes and those temps. Majority of people out there are afraid to go big on jets. I run T5's and 2:1 air filter. I run stock carbs with 370 mains and 30 pilots. I am a little rich when it is warm out, above 90F, but when it is cool, around 40F, the bike runs perfect. Quote
esterelbanshee Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I'm from just north of Montreal so similar conditions. I run stock pipes and stock airbox in winter with 230 jetting and can assure you my jetting is perfect. I run on open lakes at WOT in 6th for long distances. It was -15celsius on the weekend and SHEE ran beautifully. My elevation averages around 1000ft above sea level. Im not too sure about the Dynojets(my buddy loves them)but for stock pipes and airbox, 230 lets me run safely. Any colder than -15 and you're a sick dude for being out there in that shit. My thumb gets so numb and cold i wanna scream. Thumb warmers don't really work well enough. How's the riding near you? Quote
