AKheathen Posted October 6, 2013 Author Report Posted October 6, 2013 DOING THIS TOMORROW... all of my jetski's go counter clockwise for advancement...strange this goes the other way??!! stator is on the other side vs most sno-go/jet-skis... Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted October 21, 2013 Report Posted October 21, 2013 Good write up! I have a stock timing plate i am going to do this to. One question. How do i know how far advanced i am? Quote
sheerider11 Posted October 21, 2013 Report Posted October 21, 2013 The most a stock can go is about 4 before you break through Quote
hotrod9193 Posted August 18, 2017 Report Posted August 18, 2017 Digging up an old post after doing some research. So from what iv looked up and verified I'm assuming my plate had been modified, and I don't think it is set to advanced timing. Correct? It should be turned clockwise to be advanced? Any reason it might have been turned back? Should I leave it or advance it? Any thoughts? Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk Quote
IceracerX Posted August 18, 2017 Report Posted August 18, 2017 Yours is done the right way you can see that the stator plate has been turned clockwise leaving the open space to the left by the bolt Quote
hotrod9193 Posted August 18, 2017 Report Posted August 18, 2017 I thought if it were turned clockwise the gap at the bolt would be closed not open Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk Quote
IceracerX Posted August 18, 2017 Report Posted August 18, 2017 Ya, my bad. Looks like its modded to advance, but set at zero? Quote
hotrod9193 Posted August 19, 2017 Report Posted August 19, 2017 Ya, my bad. Looks like its modded to advance, but set at zero? That's what I thought too. Turned it clockwise and it seemed to run worse to me. Turned it back and she screams again. Idk, gonna go over this with the fellas during the fall ride at little sahara. All I know to do...This has me puzzled, I'm jetted with fmf, coolhead, v3 reeds, k&n pod filters, not sure what bore is or stroke I'm assuming stock by the the way the bike rides but when I advance it "rotate plate clockwise" I seem to loose my powerband Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk Quote
Johncl5p Posted September 20, 2017 Report Posted September 20, 2017 I wonder if you're advancing it too far. Did you try putting it in the middle? Quote
ZillaFreak Posted September 20, 2017 Report Posted September 20, 2017 Ditch the plate and get one with timing marks. Another issue might be your domes and they are already on the edge for the fuel you are using. Quote

Going to replace the plate and do a 4 mil build and some other goodies going to start a build thread soon Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk Quote
