Keyser Soze Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Just started coating yesterday. So far I have done a kicker, head, jugs. What wondering how the rear caliper wold hold up to 300 degrees. Also curious if the master cylinder could be coated. Quote

I trhink the rear caliper would be ok as long as u remove the piston which is what has the o ring on it for the seal.....the front master i dont know cause of the viewer window Easy parts are swingarm...wheels....pegs..... BasicBajaX Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Depends on how big your oven is but it's still very much like painting a car with all the prep work. Without it you just have to start over... Quote
BasicBajaX Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Ya, start small. I started with the ole ladies silverware and could not find enough to powdercoat after that... Quote
dirtbike drew Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 I have been doing my own powder coating for a year now and if I was u I would powder coat whatever you can fit in your oven. Just prep it good and go to town. I go 400 drgrees for 20-25 min Quote
crash&burn Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 My rear master is powder coated and like the other guy said pull the piston and the o ring outta of it and all will be ok Quote
