Phelps Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 it's the clutch basket echoing through the engine. Quote
yamahaman244 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 it's the clutch basket echoing through the engine. . really???? is this normal and why would it be doing that or is it suppose to Quote
AKheathen Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 possible you developed an exhaust leak.... Quote
yamahaman244 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 possible you developed an exhaust leak.... it might be around the caller of the exhaust cause the left pipe rattles sometimes alittle but if i have a exhaust leak that dont lean it out does it Quote
AKheathen Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 minor exhaust leaks don't do much. major ones will, though. if it blew out the o-ring on the pipe, think about getting new springs, too....they wear over time. also, look for cracking on the pipe somewhere, usually at the mount, or spring hooks. it will turn black pretty quick.. rdzbangshee Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 mine has a tick tick because its smooth it really tick ticks with new plugs Quote
Larry's Shee Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Maybe pull stator cover and check that f-wheel is tite Quote
yamahaman244 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 Maybe pull stator cover and check that f-wheel is tite well guys my dad looked at it and thinks its ticking but to me it sounds like the flywheel spinning or the clutch when running if u put your hand on the flywheeler cover its feels normal just vibrations so idk thing still screams and everything starts first kick idk more of a spinning sound with air Quote
yamahaman244 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 it's the clutch basket echoing through the engine. not the flywheel sounding like its more from the clutch side...... could it just be the clutch spinning? like u said 800 Quote
Larry's Shee Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Have you checked the oil level then? Quote
AKheathen Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 oh, could also be an idler bushing tapping the basket kinda hard not hearing it Quote
bansheesandrider Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 oh, could also be an idler bushing tapping the basket kinda hard not hearing it Or the idler snap ring could have come off and gone through the gears and tore up a tooth, causing the tick. Quote
