VictorK Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 my bikes been hitting neutral under heavy load more then it should(mostly between 3rd-4th). Now I realized it vibrates at idle through lower midrange and it turned out to be the bearing the clutch rides on. It sucks but when stuff isn't right it has to be fixed Quote
bansheesrtoys Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 i had the similar problem i had 2nd gear frozen to the shaft and 4th gear messed up had to replace all three plus bearings. Quote
VictorK Posted October 23, 2010 Author Report Posted October 23, 2010 Ill have the tranny out tonight so well see what's wrong. I'm gonna open it upside down like someone said so I don't have to touch the top end Quote

bansheesrtoys Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 it's better to take it all apart because when you go back togher you can make sure your crank spines free after you torque your cases but either way would work just fine Quote
VictorK Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 ok, the shifting forks look straight. the front one is marked 1.. , and the two rear ones are marked 1. , and 2. the bearing the clutch spins on wiggles and the shift drum bearing has some side to side play. other then that it all seems ok.
