shoopie Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 throttle is probably stuck haha. it happens on these bikes. pull your carbs and clean em good. the slides get stuck up sometimes. take some fine sand paper and take it to the inside of the carbs. also make sure your throttle cable is routed as straight as possible and lubricate it good, they can jam and stick if it has to make a tight bend. glad you didnt get hurt, some people get scared and dont realize what to do when they stick, im usually not the smartest one in the bunch. oneill_1952 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Had the same problem...turned out to be the TORS system as soon as the thing got wet it went ape shit. take a quick search on TORS and there are a few threads on how to remove this system on top the carbs Quote

06specialedition Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Look your bike over really good. Get the tors off if you haven't already, and check your carb sync and chock tube. Quote
midlifecrisis Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 I had the same issue with my bike, turned out it was running really lean from some mods I had done without rejetting. If you havent done any mods, check to make sure you dont have any air leaks that would cause you to lean out. If you have the resources, build a leak down tester as shown in the pinned area of MODS, if you dont then spray some brake cleaner around the carbs etc (keep it away from the airbox).... when its running and see if that makes any difference. If it reacts to the brake cleaner then you have an air leak, and you need to address it before your bike blows up. Oh, and by the way, I dont think I would take sandpaper to the inside of my carb slides, JMO! Quote
