Crank case seal

I am about to put my crank seals back in, I know I am to pack the seals with greese, dose this mean fill the hollow side of the seal with greese? If so why kind of greese should I use.....thanks for the help.

Yes ,good wheel brg grease. Coat lip and shaft lightly. Give brgs oil if you cleaned them.

Thats right, just where the seal contacts the crank.Just so there not dry. For intallation & initial start up.

I use a light coating of motor assembly lube or oil on the crank seals inner lip where it contacts the crank.
