shoopie Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 when i downshift quiclkly from say 5th to 2nd or 1st within about 100ft or so, especially on the road, it stalls and wont start back up for a few minutes. im thinking its just flooding but maybe theres something more. has anyone had any experience with this? AKheathen Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 i would start with mantenance. unfourtunately, that is the problem 90% of the time. did you tune it with a hot engine, or cold? when it's cold, it's supposed to run like poo and bog, etc....and you need to use the choke when properly tuned. Ak what did i do wrong on mine ? This is the first banshee I've ever had that I dont need to choke to start, i shit you not, the jetting is just about perfect, floats are new, levels are good, carbs are synced, etc... This is the first banshee I've ever had that I dont need to choke to start, i shit you not, the jetting is just about perfect, floats are new, levels are good, carbs are synced, etc... well, you need the choke to start it when it's cold, except, i think real hot climates. of coarse, if it takes 5+ kicks, or a little throttle to start that doesn't count. have you ever needed to change a fouled plug? i can start mine with the choke 1-2 kicks after sitting for a month 50 to -30f. first kick hot/warm, but it takes quite a few without the choke. and i can let it idle all day like that, low smoke, and stays hot. it will generally run ok rich, just not great, and usually only matters for those who get technical.
