ryansomething Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Well I've been ridin my first banshee and it seems like when I punch it it goes pretty good but half way through the rpms jump,it spins the tires and takes off it does this through 123 gears and I haven't gotten it higher. It is .090 over cool head stage 2 reed valves piped and no air box on stock carbs are the carbs loading up or is this the "powerband" thanks Quote

I have yet to find a bike that hits as hard as a banshee when u crack that throttle..... Its an obsession!!! Quote

It is .090 over cool head stage 2 reed valves piped and no air box on stock carbs are the carbs loading up or is this the "powerband" thanks If your engine isnt ported, i dont think bigger carbs will do much for you, 35s may even be too big, youd have to talk to someone who plays with big carbs, i build 60-70hp sleepers with stick carbs, so i'm not the right guy to ask...check and see if you have a timing advane, if nor get eother a plus 4 degree key or an adjustable timing plate, other than that, looks like you have a decent stock ripper, i would say porting is your next step...as far as the powerband kicking in, its fun isnt it ? Once you get used to it, you will just rev it and drop the clutch instead of feeling that bottom end bog and accelerate like no 4-stroke can dream of, hahaha good luck with it man... Quote
