sp1tekiller Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Buddy is going to look at a Banshee tomorrow, was told that the kickstart lever is toast on the outside, that it just needs a new lever. If the lever is off, what is a good way to make sure that nothing inside the engine is wrong Quote
sp1tekiller Posted September 24, 2010 Author Report Posted September 24, 2010 Also, if it is the spline.. how big of a job is fixing that? Expensive? I imagine the cases need split.. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Only have to take clutch cover off. Could set swinger on milk crate and turn wheels over by hand, or push start it . If he won't let you, he trying to off a fubar. Quote
ritchieb Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 It's an easy job to replace the kick starter axle. Just need to tip the bike on the PTO side ( sprocket side) and remove clutch cover, (so you don't have to drain the oil) to get to the clutch assembly. But if you buy it you would want to change the oil. If you don't have a manual you should get one, there handy. Cheap to fix too. Quote
