BuffaloBanshee Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Hello guys, new to Banshee HQ. I did a search here to try and get some insight my problem, but found nothing: Bottom end issues. My 05' with the Dyno Port 2into1 pipe machine let loose last night. I had the throttle pinned in a high gear when it started to pop and back fire. The machine rolled to a stop and would not fire back up. When I kick it over I can hear a "skuffing/rubing" noise coming from the bottom end. It almost sounds as if the crank spins a bit after the kick is completed. Good compression still though. I have not split the case yet. So, what should I exspect to incounter once dis-assembled? Any feed back would be great. Thanks guys! Quote
AKheathen Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 welcome. it sounds like your flywheel came off. pull the stator cover (shifter side) and check that first. if it did come off, you are probably going to need to buy a key, nut, loctite, and dress up the taper/bore if there is galling. it may have damaged the pickup and/or stator as well. if that's not it, then you could have melted a piston. If the piston was fried, How would he be able to tell if he has good compression ? Wouldnt that lock it up, not letting you check compression? Quote
AKheathen Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 it can melt and still move just fine Quote

Wow AKheathen, you were dead right. Pulled off the cover and there she sat. Appears to be minimal damage. Seems to run fine now! Thanks a ton!!! Quote
