Banshee dav Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I have a full 1-6 override that will jump out of gear when under a load. I changed the shift forks. And it still does it. It will shift fine if you are not putting a load on it. What could it be? it just started doing this. It looks fine. Nothing is broke or chipped. It is pissing me off bad!!! Quote
RagunCajun Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Do you have a modded shift star and/or shift kit(like shift pro)? Quote
VictorK Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 My 250R was doing that once the shift drum was loose Quote

sleeper06 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Rounded dogs and possibly back cuts on sliders are worn, they might visually seem ok.I know wcr reconditions trannies and if you can get a hold of him he prob has an answer for you Quote
AKheathen Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 x2 on the dogs. if you had to replace the fork(s), then 90% sure the dogs are going to be chewed/rounded, which will bend the fork again. i had to fix that exact problem/symptom last fall. i have also seen a peak in the drum channel worn down, too, which probably started the dogs/fork damage in the first place. just check everything over real good for slop, misalignment, and wear. Banshee dav Posted August 26, 2010 Author Report Posted August 26, 2010 I sent my trans back to Joey. He is going to repair the ramps and the dogs were rounded on third gear. Quote
