BasicBajaX Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Always reset torque wrench to lowest setting when not in use. It will mess it up if you leave it cranked up. Man, I never knew that. Thanks Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Man, I never knew that. Thanks Yep, thats one of the first things my high school small engines teacher taught us. Quote
ELKARACING_SHEE Posted August 20, 2010 Author Report Posted August 20, 2010 well, today i took the head off to find that it was really dirty everywhere in the head. There is sand in there, and some mud as well. i took the domes off and their 18cc, and im putting 20cc's in there, so i should be good. Shee is going to need a good cleaing on her top end Quote
Larry's Shee Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 Ok ,I think I have it figured out ,lol. Your wrench looks very simular to my Crafstman. Along the length is the "rough" scale in fifteen in/lb increments. At the end of the black handle is the "fine" adjustment, marked 0 -14. Directly below is "fine" scale for newton-meters, paint is worn off mine so I cant tell what the N-m scale corresponds to compared to in-lb. Hope this helps . As far as value for aftermarket head I would think it would be same as stock because strength is limited by studs in cyls. Quote
ELKARACING_SHEE Posted August 21, 2010 Author Report Posted August 21, 2010 Sand and mud inside the head? Wtf? yes sir, when i got home, i took my filters, and they were really sandy, and quite dirty. But they had lots of filter oil on them, and the outerwears had holes in them, so i gotta get new ones, im gonna clean the intakes and the carbs Quote
