Got a new set of shearer ss oof left side... and when i bolted them up the expansion chambers touch alot!! if anyone has these can they shed some light on this for me and tell me if its normal.. i bought them nickel then had them chromed.. had to ply them to get hem to lign up the get hte 2 bolts in that hold the pipes... VERY POOR fitment!!!!

You are correct they are very tight fit to get the two pipes to line up and the two pipes due touch. Mat Shearer has redesigned the way the drag pipes fit. He is redesigning the inframes as well for more clearance. The performance of the pipes speaks for its self.

they sure run hard but the jigg that matt used must have been from a very very bent up beat up frame.

 

 

I was just going to post something asking if there was a "trick" to get these to fit right. Guess not.

 

I've got a set of small bore in-frames that touch the frame on the bottom and are real real close to the left side of the motor.

 

Guess I just have to live with it?

mine do the same.......just the nature of the beast from what i was told. the performance speaks for it self though....

there is a trick, you have to do some cussing while installing them. at least that's what i did.
