I can see the benefits on both sides running a cool head and shaving one, Ive shaved heads before but mainly in cars havent had anything to do with bikes though and it workes extremely well the only thing is if for some reason you need to go back to a stock setting it usually means buying another head where as a cool head is only a matter of changing domes either way. So at this stage still considering. But your right we all ride and luv it and anything that gives the bike that little bit more get up and go is a good thing Quote
madjimmax Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Hey 2stroke sorry to have all this shit start up in your thread. Either way I'm sure you'll be happy with your decision which ever way it goes because all in all you have a shee. Again good luck and post up some pics of that beast. Quote
RagunCajun Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Take a look around here everybody that is serious about their Banshee is running some sort of cool head. I disagree. I and a few others feel it was cheaper to run a milled head. I only have a purple(yes wtf is a purple head doing on an 2001 ) noss head because my bike came with it. I've read on here that cooling heads dont help cool off the bike. I've read the best way to do it is by upgrading the radiator. I personally dont know since i've never experimented with that and everyone has their opinion. I prefer to look at testing rather than a guess. Hell, i use water wetter now and dont even know if it actually works. I just no it foams a little in my see through radiator lines Quote
