bbcmudtruck Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Can you have a 2-5 duneable and still retain all six gears? I've heard conflicting answers. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Like I told you the other day.. This is from Andy at M&M.. Ok let me rephrase that you cannot override into 5th on a downshiftable tranny and still have 6th. You can start in 2nd on the 1-5 or i can cut it how ever you want. Level 2 is undercutting the engaging dogs so higher hp machines will hold together. If its for your setup i would def recommend it. All i stock is the undercut its just a better tranny imo. I tell people that 100 hp is where i really try and push the undercut. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 Ya ya I know what you said. However there are people that are running them. I really need a 2-5, but I would like to keep 6th. Quote

Who do you know that has an override that's either a 1-5 or 2-5 that still has 6th gear? Shannon's extreme has no 6th. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 Haha, well actually I was under the impression that his still had 6th. I thought that if you kept nuetral in the stock location, you could have a 2-5 with a manual 6th. Quote

That's where 6th gear goes. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 No, but I do remember looking at the bottom of a bottle of jack that day! Speaking of, its time for another BHQ day at headquarters. Quote
FASTOYS Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Hey Ryan, i have the 1-4 Dunable w/ stock nuetral and m5th and m6th in stock. Isnt that what your wanting? Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted June 28, 2010 Author Report Posted June 28, 2010 Hey Jeff! I have a 2-4 duneable, I'm looking for a 2-5. I was hoping I could get a 2-5 m6. I guess there is no such thing? Quote
RagunCajun Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 (edited) perhaps a n-down 1-5 duneable with 15/41 gearing would be better. at least 20" rear tires would be a must though. Only reason i wouldnt want anything with a manual(clutch) last gear or two is forgetting what gear you are in. With all of them clutchless you can just upshift till it wont shift up anymore. But for a lot of 55-60+ mph riding id want 6th. I went play around yesterday on my 19" holeshots and not having 6th sucked big time! Edited June 28, 2010 by RagunCajun Quote
