alf44 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 yOU CAN TELL IF ITS PORTED BY LOOKING INTO YOUR INTAKES. IF ITS BLACK AND HAS CAST LINES IN IT ITS PROLY NOT PORTED. iF ITS NICE AND CLEAN LOOKING AND THE PIECE IN THE BACK IS MORE V SHAPED THATN SQUARED, ITS PORTED. EASIEST WAY TO TELL. TO PORT IT TAKE OFF THE CYLINDERS AND SEND THEM TO ONE OF OUR SPONSORS THAT SPECIALIZES IN ENGINE BUILDING, FASST, HERR OR WILDCARD. Quote
midlifecrisis Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 So what they do to port your cyliders is open up the intake, exhaust , primary and secondary ports to increase the flow thru your cylinders. They also can create a boost port thru the wall of the secondary to increase power again. They should also be matching the pipes to the port job they do, and giving you the best match for your type of riding. Quote
firebanshee Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 REDLINE also ports cylinders and is a site sponser, one of the best.imo Quote
Snopczynski Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Smoothed up intakes dont necessarily mean its ported. You have to remove the head and measure the exhaust port and transfers to tell for sure. Quote
