Well crap

Well yesterday I rode up and down the street on my shee. Shee ran great no issues or anything. Well this morning while I was at work my wife thought it would be a hood idea to teach one of her freinds how to ride. Well I guess the girl just rode around in first gear for awhile. With no one telling me I get home and get ready to load it up for my weekend trip. Well I take off Down the road and it starts back firing, and starts bogging. Well I stop look it over and thought maybe she putted around on it. So I opened it up and no power band.

 

I could come up first, and second with mo issues now nothing. Any help would be appreciated as leave in 2 hrs but of I can't get it running right I won't be able to go.

Throw a couple of plugs in it.

 

What mods do you have? Did your wife say if it was running fine when they parked it or what it was doing when they parked it.

She said that after her freind got back she got on it to ride and it was backfiring really bad so she just parked it. As far As mods it has fmf gold with powercore 2 and mikuni carbs just bored .40

Did you just get the bike back together? If it has been sitting for a bit waiting on the top end to get fixed the carbs may need to be cleaned and float height checked.

Nah wrong guy it's been built with about 20 hrs on the top end

Hopefully you just have some fouled plugs and not a broken reed.

Anyhow, make sure the park brake is unplugged and also make sure all of your tors system is unplugged.

Good call bbc. I always for get about the TORS and parking brake, since that's the first thing to go on mine. I hate that shit!

The cool one is the cylinder that isn't firing.

 

Is it the right cylinder? Is your choking tube still between the carbs?

 

Did you check the plugs yet?

check your plugs... also this happened to me before. if you have a stock head check it out see if theres coolant comming out of the head if there is your head gasket is blown .

 

i was riding mine around ran fine once i took it to buttercup it bog no powerband it was mixing coolant with the gas and not being able to fire up the gas . so check the head

Yeah it has got to be my plugs. It's the left side (sitting on it) the choke is still between them. If I let it idle the left pipe just pops. Got to ho get another set of plugs it seems

Before you buy plugs you can try swapping them. Ive done this before and it rode decent enough to get me home to get some new ones. Also if you swap and it does the same thing just the opposite side is firing now, than you know for sure its the plugs
