hard to shift

i have a banshee and a blaster, the blaster shifts so easy, on the shee i miss gears when i'm in it to win it.. what's up with that? any options? thanks

can be your clutch. if you were haveing trouble shifting into the next gear i would sat get a shift star.

There are a few shift mods that can make it shift easier (modified shift star, etc.); but Banshees just shift like complete crap compared to many other ATVs.

make sure u got good clean case oil, when mine starts shiftin hard thats means its time for me to change my the oil, i run the yamalube

Clutch is adjusted right, groves on the basket, eccentric screw adjusted right, good trans oil, too much hp, clutch is good can all effect it.

 

Then you can get a modded shift star, mess with the shift shaft so it gets more "throw" and remove dogs(i think it's called) from each gear which requires machine work.

 

Then the last resort is an override but some believe that's over kill.
