98_shee Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Backfiring is normally a sign of a lean codition, did you do a leak down test to check for air leaks? What are you mods, elevation, temp, current jetting? Quote
firebanshee Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Did you get the slides back in the right carbs? Quote
350 screamer Posted May 13, 2010 Author Report Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) no, but i had a feeling the choke is supposed to be conntected... just learning new things it was like that when i bought it but now that i kno and im taking that idea of puting the slides in the wrong carbs, that i might have dont if anything and its prolly gonna need rejetting anyways.. and far as mods its got 4mil crank hot rods... hot rods pistons 20 overbore, FMF fatties and silencers.... and a hinsin 7 plate clutch pack.... and the current jetting im not sure at the moment Edited May 13, 2010 by 350 screamer Quote

The choke is in the side of the left carb and the choke tube is on the opposite side of the choke it is a small black tube that connects the carbs. You need a clymers manual. Quote
98_shee Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Are you running a spacer plate or cut domes with the 4mill? I have a pro design head with 18c dome's cut for a 4mill that i don't need. Quote
