Best paint for pipes.

What's going on?

I want to paint my ugly ass stock pipes to at least get rid of the rust (will sand down first). My local Napa has high temp paint but different temp ranges. I would just get the highest but I don't know if it's enough. I can't remember what temp ranges they have but what would be a good range for them? My bike is all stock if that helps. Thank you.

I used the grill and stove paint on mine and it looked good. Lasted as long as i had the pipes

Thanks for the replies. I live in a very small town (every road together = 62 miles/5,000 people) & choices are VERY limited We do not have the grill/stove paint. What I'm interested in is the temp range I can use. Does anyone know how hot these pipes can get so I know what to look for? Thank you.

bbq paint or if you wand a certain finish or color dupli color high heat will do the trick.

You obviously have the internet so anything you can't get in your town you can always get online. What ever you do don't try and powder coat...won't hold.

500 deg engine paint wont hold up. You need duplicolor high heat or vht flame proof paint. They are both designed for headers and have a temp rating up to 1200 or 1500 deg.

VHT Flame Proof. You wont get any tougher paint than this stuff.
