buying a bike

I am wanting to buy a bike online and got shipping worked out. My question is what can I do to not get screwed. I need to pay pal the guy and everything looks legit but I want to make sure I get the bike.

 

I am going to use paypal and I thought there was a way to put the money in an account and then release the money when I get the bike. What have you guys done to make sure you get the bike?

i flat out wouldnt do it. no way id buy a bike sight unseen. you need to see it for yourself.

 

i also dont trust sending that kind of money to someone. too many ways to get screwed.

I second loco, its altogether too risky IMO purchasing a bike online. I dont know of a way to freeze funds to a person's account through paypal.

What kind of bike is it?

Quad its a good price almost too good...

 

Almost thinking of driving out to see if it is legit. If its not I would only be out gas money.

I would not do it unless you see the bike first and also make sure you get the correct ownership papers for your state. I had a buddy that just bought a Honda CBr600F3 off of Ebay because it was too good of deal to pass up. Now he is singing the blues and spending more money to get it fixed.
