powertripn Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Hey guys,I'm trying to drop my monoblock on my 68.5mm WSM forged pistons and the rings are driving me fu++ing crazy. They are so sloppy I can't get them compressed enough to get one piston started in the bore. Can I use some Wiesco rings on these pistons ? Quote
jbooker82 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 I wouldn't. The rings are only half the issue. The pistons have ring lands cut in to them. They need to have right clearances inbetween the rings and pistons. You can just throw stuff together. Ethire run wsm pistons and rings or Wiseco pistons and rings. Quote
T_Shee Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 if they are the platinum pistons like i run then the rings only go on a certain way. not trying to insult you but make sure you have them right. one ring is fatter than the other and they have a top and bottom. like said before, dont use wiseco rings. they are totally different than the wsm.
