BigMatt Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 I know winters almost over, but whats the best way to warm your banshee up? I heard idling a banshee is bad, so how do you warm them up? drive around in 1st gear at low RPM's? also I have a vector and watch my water temps I dont rip on my bike till the coolant temp is around 100degrees whats the real safe warm up coolant temp? papa_smurf49319 Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 I dont ride in real cold weather, but this is how i warm my bike up everytime. Ill start it, let it idle, check my tires add air if needed, put my riding gear on which consists of gloves, helmet, googles, ill feel the pipes, if there startin to get pretty warm ill hop on her and take it easy for a couple minutes, and then let it rip. Common sense and you will be alright. Cody Quote

AKheathen Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 ok, here's what i do all winter.......pull the choke and start it no throttle......it might die, just do it again....after 5 seconds or so, i start bliping and reving untill it cleans out some, and let it idlewith the choke off after that.......then i unload it from the trailer or whatever for a min and go play around a bit on it for a min and then gear up. when jetted properly, it's not gonna run clean for swhit unless it's warmmed up anyways Quote
