88BANSHEERIDER Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 i have a chance to buy juggs that are stock that have a big bore cylinder in them that are bored out to 70mm for 200 dollars are they worth it and can i make them fit my cases thanks matt Quote
Darthwall Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 cases you shouldn't have to mod at all the 70mm bore is probably the last or close to the last bore those will handle I think vitos big bore cylinders are only recommended for 69.50 but if you wanna go for it do it up Quote
88BANSHEERIDER Posted March 4, 2010 Author Report Posted March 4, 2010 so should i pass on them or should i pick them up i dont want to buy something and have a hell of time finding piston cause i havent found any yet for 70mm all of them are for 68mm blaster pistons Quote
J-Madd Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 The quality of the portwork is much more important that the bore size on those. It doesn't matter if its 80 mm if the port work is crap. Also, I have read that the bigger sleeves take too much away from the transfer area in stock cylinders to notice much of a gain. Quote
Darthwall Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 finding pistons isn't too hard but you will have to go through trinity or call wiesco up and get some custom made ones if your running a stock crank then its not going to work with blaster pistons if its stock stroke long rods then blaster pistons will work but then you will want to do some head work cause blaster pistons have a different degree of dome than banshee pistons. I don't see 70 mm in the 573 series pistons (Blaster piston). Quote
Darthwall Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 ok here is the trinity part# 8963P6995 not a 573 but trinity blaster/banshee long rods Quote

WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 pistons are going to cost you 2-3 times what you would think! Quote
