I just talked with Kevin to go over my build. Cant wait send it out. here is a list of parts i am gonna go with. If i left anything out please let me know, and give some sugg. too

 

4 mill MX Hardcore port job

Hot Rods Crank

Port match upper case

Magnum basket

new inner and outer clutch hubs

pancake bearing

fast clutch

chariot reed cages and intake

boyessen pro series reeds

28 pwks

pro circuit pipes

mull impellar and billet gear

 

 

 

Do I need a max load or tz bearing?

get him to throw a maxload on the pto side for reliability purposes.

yes it's the clutch side. Did you get the extra penetrating weld on the crank also? When your doing the case porting you can also ruff up the lower as well. heres a pic of mine http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/ss206/android691/S6302070.jpg

the bearings on the hot rods crank will be fine, no need for a maxload or tz, and the welds that come on the hot rods crank will also be fine. Unless you got some extra money and want some extra piece of mind

I had a hot rods crank weld fail and crank started to separate wich took out one of the bearings. Just saying

hmm thats funny, not saying jims word is god, but jim at passion told me that the welds on the hot rods crank were fine and didnt need anythign extra, and they look stout. Also he said bearings were fine for me on my build and that i didnt need the maxload or the tz. I guess time will tell and i hope i dont find out the hard way lol.

Well, when you make BIG power you need stronger welds and GOOD bearings.

Sent jugs and cases to kevin last week. He called me over the weekend to get all the details ironed out. so he will be working on it this week. Cant wait to rip on those new cyl. Getting a 4 mill hardcore mx port and case matching.
