ok guy's need a quick answer. which way does the stock head gasket go . got a new one today and it doesn't say on it. around the cylinders one end has a raised lip in it woul that go up or down?

The very edge of the raised lip toward the inner of the cylinder should go facing up, alot of the gaskits tell you "UP" how wierd that your doesnt

The "up" is stamped into the gasket, not printed. It does not exactly jump out at you. However, they can be flopped without any major concern. I would not pull one just to flip it.

Ive also came across headgaskets for the shee that dont have up stamped on them or any indication of what way is up, that leads me to believe that it does not matter.
