I'm putting my 4 mill ported stock cylinder bike back together and have the choice of my 35mm Keihin Air Strykers or I have a set of what I think are FTZ "worked" 35.5 mm Mikuni flat slides. The A/S are out of the box the Mikukis have whatever FTZ does to them. They look like they have been bored or something on the inside. I haven't measured them yet. They only show one set for the Banshee on their site so I assume this is what they are. My link

So if that's the case which ones should I keep? One any better than the other? I'm more familiar with the A/S but can't imagine the Mikunis are that complicated. So lets hear some opinions.

of those two i would keep and run the PWK.

i think if i had both sets, i would sell them both and buy a regular set of 35mm keihin pwk carbs. seems like i always hear that the airstrikers are a pain to jet. i think it has something to do with the addtional vent.

In my experience the A/S carbs are easier to tune on methanol than normal PWK's. I run the keihins and my buddy with an identical bike prefers the 35.5's. I've never noticed much of a difference between the two when we swap bike to bike. The keihins seem to fit around most pipes better. The Mikuni's seem to put the fuel line too close to the pipes and are a difficult fit around the bigger pipes like CPI's and shearers.

I'd keep the keihins.
