Hank Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Just got a banshee which I use for trail riding. It has the stock gearing (I believe) 14/41. Any recommendations for more bottom end. Should I come down on the rear sprocket or is this a pretty good all around set up? Thanks...Hank Quote

Thanks...Hank if you want more bottom end you need to either drop a tooth in front or go up in the rear visa versa, for every 3 teeth you change is the rear is equal to 1 in front soo you can go from a 41 to 44 in the rear and that would be the same as dropping on up front Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I'd do 13x41 or 14x44. Try either of those out and see how you like it. Have you bumped your timing up 4 degrees yet? That will help with the bottom end a little. Quote
Hank Posted January 24, 2010 Author Report Posted January 24, 2010 Waiting on my Noss head with 19cc domes and Chariot timing plate to get her next week. I plan on bumping the timing +4 like everyone recommends on BHQ. Depending on how that runs, I will mess with changing the rear sprocket. Quote
firebanshee Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 You can drop one in the front without having to mess with adding or removing links to your chain. Quote
