OK, so i had just barely cleaned out my K&N filters, and put them back on my banshee. I made sure that I tightened the hell out of them. well i went to the dunes and on the way down Sand Mountain I lost both filters. Didn't know, and went up the other side. made it to the top no problem, but on the way down, the throttle stuck, almost like it was dying from lack of gas, but the tank was full. so i stopped at the bottom and one filter was bouncing around within the cage, and the other was missing. so we looked around and found it covered in sand at the base of the first hill. I looked at the carb, and much to my horror, the right carb slide was stuck wide open. i sprayed carb cleaner and knocked the side a little, and it wouldn't move. First question. How do I get the slide to close without damaging anything? second, I don't know how much dirt got in my engine if any. But how do I get rid of the dirt? and third, what do I have to do to keep those filters on!
