Hello, I was looking into picking up some of those Walmart lights for the 'Shee and after looking at how they mount, I was unsure of how to get it to work in my stock light location. They use a carriage bolt (the kind with the square in the hole so it doesn't spin), but I can't think of how to make that work in the stock position as the stock light has a bolt that runs through it sideways. If you guys could explain how it's done that would be much appreciated! And pics as always, are even better! Oh and yes I have run multiple searches, and google searches and I find a lot of info about using these lights.. But none about how to mount them.

I mounted mine to the fender. There is a bolt that hold the plastics on up by the radiator. I just pulled the bolts and drilled the hole out a little and I have two lights. Best part is that they are higher up on the bike like maybe an inch but I also have left and right adj.

i cut the stock mounts, then just drill a hole to use the mount of the lights....also find another bulbs the bulbs on the lights are 50w.....you will need some 35w....of course this is if you are using stock stator

i used stock frame mounting brackets with spacers on each side of light hole. this way has been really strong for me. i think using the bracket that it comes with would make them turn easily thus getting them out of alignment.

Thanks for all the replies guys... Schuck's sells the exact same lights as Walmart but with 35w bulbs already installed so I might pick those up. And I like the idea of using spacers to mount them in the stock location, thanks for all the ideas guys! I'll try and post pics when I get them all mounted up wired up.

yah, you usually get creative.....i mounted the little bullet lights with the mr-16 bulbs sideways on the stock mount, and then a big round one in the mount....

Sorry I can't find em on Walmart's website. But they're called like Blazer or something? They look exactly like Trail Tech lights but are like 100 bucks cheaper lol.

No, the Wally World lights come with 50W halogens but I'll change them for a pair of 35W as I believe the stock stator is 75w? So that leaves 5w left for tail light and the ignition etc.. Should be pretty bright, at least I hope so.

Not hatin man but just because they look like the TrailTechs I bet they don't shine or last they would.

They look exactly like them right out of the box.. Other than that they most likely aren't half as durable and the salt from the Oregon dunes will probably make em look like crap but all i care about is if they're bright or not lol. I think I've been pushing my luck riding WOT in the middle of the night on the dunes with stock headlights lol.

they are standard mr-16 bulbs and that's what sets the brightness/beam angle, etc. they give you bulbs, but you put whatever you want in there, just like the trailtechs.....just buy new ones when the housings wear out. i run a 20 and a 50, one spot, one flood, but you can pick whatever you want from the hardware store, just keep it to 70 watts total on a stock stator.
