locogato11283 Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 ive always run klotz in the cylinders and advance auto parts brand 10w40 in the transmission. never had an issue with either. Quote
jbirdshee Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 i run maxima for mixing and then just some synthetic tranny fluid for the gears. works good for me Quote
crustydemon Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 beray makes good products and there is probably no reason to switch if you have had good luck with it, I just prefer Klotz and type F in the tranny. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 I used to run GearSaver in my Banshee, then I tried the Honda gear oil because my dealer was out of Belray. The Honda oil sucked in my Banshee, I just have a ground star. Then another shop recomended the Klotz MTL gear oil(part#KL506) so I tried that. It made my Banshee shift much better than anything else so that is what I have been running for the last 15 years in all my quads. I also use the Klotz R50 for the last 14 years in my premix. Before that I used Klotz Benol, but I had problems with carbon buildup in the rings on the wife's bike, so I switched to R50 and have had no problems since. Quote
