im in the same position. i run K&N pods, and need some protection against water. get an airbox off ebay for 30 bucks, and the single K&N filter. lotta poeple do deals on a whole setup.

Well i started taking shit apart today and found that i have 300rd jets in both carbs, and carbon fiber reeds. took pics along the way... i was concerned about the inside of these boots...

so this is the rundown for the bike......from what i was told its a stock motor, which might hav ebeen bored slightly to freshen it up....light mx port, K&N pods, toomey t5's and a PD coolhead. The day i got it back to my house, i was having an idling problem with it. It would die after 2minutes max, of idling. P/O said that was "normal and to just ride it, and not worry about the idling problem". SO i brought it to my buddies house, which is on a piece of land, and was just cruisin around, checkin out the bike(30mins tops). Afterwards it was rough getting it started, but it started. A week later the bike doesnt start period . IT IS getting spark, and gas. But a compression test revealed roughly around 100-110psi in both cylinders. There has been a change in temp outside, obviously, since winter is coming. But NO change in elevation. Im lost. if anyone has some input, id greatly appreciate it.

i agree. if your not buying new, or have a big ass chunk of money for em. they dont give a shit. if i do actually call my local yamaha dealership. they rarely have time for me. they have infact said.... "we dont have time to do______ to your blaster"...its fucked up that the company the consumer supports, doesnt have the time to support the consumer....fuckem and do it yourself.

i picked this up form john today. but im havin trouble with this. the bike starts and runs. but wont idle....if i feather the throttle, it'll stay running, but i got off to go grab a helmet, and by the tim ei got back it bogged out...

ive only ever used belray products in my yamaha machines. gearsaver and H1R. any reason i shouldnt just stick with it, for a shee?
