hercalmighty Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 You need a compression checker with a threaded end thats the same length as your spark plugs. Once you have a good compression checker, take out your spark plugs and screw in the compression checker. Make sure its all the way in. Then hold your throttle wide open and start kicking until the needle on the tester doent go up any more. Then just switch the checker over to the other cylinder and repeat the process. Quote
patrickkomar Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 don't for get the bike should be at operating temp when you do your test! Unless you have a really nice compression gauge you may want to do the test a few times on each cylinder and take an average. Quote
