mofoka Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 What do you think... it won't stop reving out. I can't get it to come down unless I pull the choke out. The idle screws and air screws have no noticable effect. What do you think? (and yes s420 I know I need to axe my tors still) Quote
sinisterboo Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 you have a bad air leak, not that there ever was a good air leak, LOL Quote
mofoka Posted August 20, 2009 Author Report Posted August 20, 2009 you have a bad air leak, not that there ever was a good air leak, LOL where is that normally the case? at the boot or in the carb? Or the pipe, It looks like one of my pipes is spitting black gas at the cylinder. Quote
Building my First Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 you have a bad air leak, not that there ever was a good air leak, LOL X2 choke tube come off? Quote
mofoka Posted August 20, 2009 Author Report Posted August 20, 2009 X2 choke tube come off? tube is still there.. I'm thinking to add a clip there to be sure it's tight Quote
sinisterboo Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 make sure your intake boots arent cracked, reed gaskets not leaking, base gaskets not leaking. if all that seems good, the pull the stator cover off, start the bike, and then spray some carb cleaner towards the crank seal, if it changes your idle spraying the carb cleaner around the seals and gaskets, then you've found your leak. Or find an HQ member near you with a leakdown tester, or search "leakdown tester" on here for instructions on how to make one. Very nice tool to have. Quote
