Finally got around to checking my squish. Mods are in my sig. Base gasket measures .024", I see most guys say between .035 & .050. Can I get a thinner base gasket or will I be fine? Squish is even on both sides of both pistons.

I would get it down to at least .050"! You could even run it at .045" with the rpm that motor would pull. When the squish is to big, I have seen them run really funny (hesitations).

Do you know where I could get a .010 base gasket?

 

Cascade innovations sells a .012" steel I think. Anyone ought to be able to get one.

Those carbs I traded for ended up being 28mm, he can't use a tape measure very well.

28mm is what I really needed for my mods. I wasn't going to pass up some 33's when he mentioned trding them for stock carbs.

Yea, there PWK's.

 

 

The base gasket thats in there now is .024".

 

there is a guy on ebay that sells them and vito's has them in a .012
