Heres the problem, as you can see in my sig, im building a 611 DM. Anyway, I sent my cases off to trinity for the trenching, boring, and other DM case work (what an idiot, i know). So I dont want to go through them anymore with the actual purchase of the cylinders, so I called RDZ for pricing, etc. Hes telling me that he needs to know how much they decked it, how much they built up with the epoxy, because bolting on cylinders from him will probably not match up right and port timing will be off. Hes also saying that he doesnt use epoxy, he just welds it for more reliability because it can break off and cause air leaks, frying your motor  .

Anyway, Im about to pull my f'n hair out over this crap. 200 for the cases, another 200 for powdercoating them, and another 600 for the work done by trinity. DOWN THE F'N DRAIN!!! I need some advice ppl. What should I do, send him the cases I have and let him tweak it to fit the cases and hope the epoxy holds or buy new cases, another powder job, and let him weld. HELP!

Judging from your posts (not your post count).. It sounds like you got in over head. Can we ask why you pulled the order from trinity? DM's are not just a bolt on and go setup. If you think your loosing your mind now.. wait till you start putting this together and try to get it tuned.

Lots of people use epoxy on the cases.. its not that big of a deal. What size rods does your crank use?

I noticed your using inframe pipes. You sure they will work with this engine? Also.. I didn't notice any transmission mods in your sig.

Idk, im a freakin idiot. I thought they had the best pricing and seemed like a poplular place whereas i seemed least to get ripped off if anything went wrong, until I sent the cases over and the price kept changing!

And as for the pipes, Matt shearer's building me a set to match with what ive got. Trying to have a semi-sleeper look

There is no hiding a DM..

Not trying to hide it, just dont wanna come around the corner with drag pipes hangin out the side and a wheelie bar 10ft behind me. I just like the whole concept of a stock chassis monster!

If it ever does run good luck keeping it on the ground. I have a little stock cylinder 7 mil with the same swingarm and +2 out the front a arms and it stands up half the time.

Not to be that guy but.. What is a Cheetah DM... what does the DM stand for??? I know what the cheetah is...

DM stands for Dominant Male, meaning that its a larger set of cylinders. Its just a name that calvin worked up to specify the larger displacement, stroke, etc... He also has a set called DMX which is even bigger

you mean larger bore.. The stroke has nothing to do with the name. Calvin has stuff bigger then the DMX too.

A DM is not for everyone.. IMO.. it should only be used on the hill and track. Straight line only. Also.. the person should know his/her way around a banshee engine or have a competent mechanic near by that is familiar with the DM. Because when your pushing 130+hp stuff is going to break... its not a matter of if... its a matter of when..

Yea, theres the Schmitar, Caracal-twin, tripple, trust me ive done my research. And I know shits going to break thats why i have everything hinson, everything aftermarket with proven results to prevent it for as long as possible. And when that mug breaks!! Im goin wit the twin caracal!! O yes, it will be somethin nasty. But at this moment, fuck it we gon roll wit it

Listen to the guy at RDZ he is gonna be the best person to talk to about this. Rudy Kurtz is a drag motor god. Give him the cases and see where you sit.
