badbrad
Its a cr125 2002. I just re-ringed it, put new boysean reeds in it and cleaned the carb well. Put it back together and it bogs if you lean it half way to the ground. Then I took the carb off and I adjusted the float level (I think I did it right). But it still does it. I cleaned the shit out of the carb several times now with carb cleaner and lots of high pressure air. Im gonna go freaking crazy if I cant get this figured out soon. Any help is appreciated
R. Rollins
Are the idle and fuel mixture screws exactly the same as when you took the carb apart? I would check the manual for the baseline settings on these. Also did you use a new float needle and orifice when you rebuilt the carbs? Some older honda carbs have a metal needle point whereas newer ones are rubber tipped. Did you adjust the throttle cable so that the slack is taken out of the cable and the carb slider is responsive without alot of slack? Im thinking its something with the carb,.......try checking how rich the plug looks as well. (I would even try a "plug chop proceedure" to check how lean or rich its running) Post your results here soon. It almost sounds like there is either too much gas in the float bowl or too little fuel in the bowl to cause that problem going into a sharp corner. Others chime in on thier opinions. badbrad
all the screws are exactly the same. I am pretty sure it is rubber tipped. Plugs look totally fine and I didnt replace anything in it. Even when its idling and I tilt it to the side it starts to bog down really bad and sometimes almost stalls. then it goes back to normal after a throttle blurp or waiting like 6 seconds. Im to the point where I think something is going bad with the float valve
R. Rollins
Float valve/ needle valve....Change it out in the carb and get new gaskets of course. You will get this licked quickly. "dont forget to set your float height and float drop measurements accordingly". Get it ON.... Edited June 12, 2009 by R.
