I bought an 01 Banshee with many mods. C-T Cool Head, oversize carbs, bla bla bla. The previous owner ran 110 octane fuel in her. Can i run 93 and expect her to run as well? Thanks in advance.

Sorry I dont. How can I find out what i have? He did not know either. I got a great deal on this bike that is why I bought her. She runs very well but at $8 per gallon it get expensive. Will 110 hurt the motor after time?

It wont hurt it,but if you put 91 octane in it she will blow up  .The higher the octane the cooler it will run with the mods it has. Also welcome to the hq.Alotta great people here and great info...

Do you have a compression tester?

If so get a reading from both cylinders and post it up.

If your at 160psi or above you should run 110 oct.

Thanks guys. I am 42 years old and this is my first quad. I have a cruiser and a couple of dirt bikes but I always wanted a fast quad. I hope that I will be able to return helpful information to other people one day. Thanks.

Welcome

Once you find out where you are compression-wise, you can buy different chambers to swap out in that head. This will allow you to lower your compression, if needed, to run pump gas.
