BellicoseBanshee Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Well... Thats not good. My vote goes for "spin the bottle" then.. I vote for "pin the piston on the builder"... Quote
thatguy Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 I take all of motors to Andy at M&M and will continue to. He has built me a little stock stroke cub that suprises alot of people. I've ran with larger stroked motors and it really makes em mad. Havent had it on the dyno but the races speak for themselves. He built another stock stroke, stock cylinder motor that i ended up selling that made over 70 hp with a small set of 33pwks. Everything i have gotten on that he has touched was a real runner and i will returning to andy for every build that i start. Hes a real nice guy to deal with to. Didnt know anything about what i had just told him what i wanted and he made it happen. He gets my vote Quote

He gets my vote im building a dune bike mostly for shooting the hills but one i can still rip around on. i know that tuning is everything and rider error and wat not all reflects on how fast your bike is but im just trying to find the right builder. so wat im saying is imagine if the motor was tuned perfectly and the rider new wat he was doing, now wat do u guys think? im looking towards wildcard racing or fast. fasts pricing was around $1250 and wildcard was around $1400. its a really hard decision! o and im not saying one is faster then the other its just wat ive heard and i wanted to see if anyone else heard this. Misssppelllleddd Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Wildcard! 100% I'm absolutely astonished with the power I got from his 4mil port job. I got more power than I really had hoped for. Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Anyone mentioned Dan at Patriot Racing yet? Quote
278 Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Like I already said, Jeff's a great guy, but for my motor building Wildcard all the way... he can do chassis work and 4-pokes too Quote
dajogejr Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Anyone mentioned Dan at Patriot Racing yet? No...I never mention Dan only because I know how busy he is, and...he's very selective on what work he takes in now a days... Quote

TPhillips Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Jeff has done motors for me, my brother, and a couple friends, I would definatly recommend him. Quote
okbeast Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 $1400? What all is included in that? Seems hella high for just porting, but obviously that's not it. Quote
dajogejr Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 I'm thinking that includes porting, pistons, shipping both ways, dissasemble and re-assemble....etc. Possibly other stuff like a bore job, crank true/weld....etc. Quote
okbeast Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 I guess if it's the whole motor yeah, but damn that's still high. I guess doing some of your own work, at least teardown saves a buttload Quote
dajogejr Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Let me give you another example. I sent my whole motor to Kevin minus trans and clutch. He degreed my motor in...which you need the cases, crank, pistons and cylinders. Quote
