Yes it's preety fast but no banshee killer. First I raced him with my CR 250 made him look dum. Then I raced him with my raptor that made him look retarded. I have not raced him with my banshee yet (it's not finished) but the banshee was faster then both Cr and the raptor befoe it's updates. Your friend can't ride. The CR250 I could see. Research the power to weight ratio stock compared to that of a raptor. Stock for stock the raptor shouldnt win. These things are no joke. Quote

01banch Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Nice bike, we had one of those for a while it was a 85 looked just like our 250r (both had white plastic) but the suspension on those thigns are really not up to par, the R would thrash it if the hills were rutted or major whoops like the ones at south jetty in florence. get the suspension dialed and it'll be fun. I got a 250r with a pilot top end ill race you with even with a kx500 motor. Quote

AWR Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 i put an 86 kx500 motor in a banshee frame.banshee motor was way faster.i had an 86 tri-z...very fun and dangerous.but still slower than banshee.friend built cr500 on alky in atc 250r frame with ftz drag pipe.still slower than banshee.if a lightweight threewheeler was the way to go fast in 300 ft. dirt drags you would see way more of them...very cool bike by the way!!would love to ride it.. Most of the ones he has built are dunes bikes that I can take on the drag strip no problem. There is a few though, that are nuts. It takes big bucks, and methanol to make one really fast.
