rickdog Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 I had a melted spark plug on the right side so I replaced it . Now banshee will not idle. What is wrong? Quote
jbooker82 Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 You could have an air leak or the jetting is lean. Both can cause you to melt a spark plug. I would be checking the compression to see if you have a hole in the piston. Quote
BansheeJohn Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 Odds are you blew it up. I would agree with an air leak, check your boost bottle/cross over tube for leaks. Quote

250Rho Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 if u melted a spark plug the piston on that side is fubar hate to break it to ya but if u drain ur coolent and pop ur heads off what ul probly find is a piston that is missing alot of matereal, cracked or has a huge hole. not trying to be a dick but ive seen it happen alot i wouldnt even dick with a compression test pull ur top end and see ir you need to bore and get oversise or just hone and replace. its a 2 atroke these things will happen alot. good luck buddy Quote
